The bad news continues to come for the 2017 Pittsburgh Pirates.
A few days after getting David Freese and Adam Frazier back from the disabled list, the team announced that Gregory Polanco will be placed on it.
The Pirates will shut down Gregory Polanco (hamstring) for two more days before resuming rehab. They believe they caught the injury early.

Polanco injured his hamstring in Sunday’s game and now will he’ll be sidelined. To take his spot, the team has recalled outfielder Danny Ortiz from AAA Indianapolis.
This will be Ortiz second time with the Pirates this season.
In 27 games with Indianapolis, Ortiz was hitting .253, 4 doubles and 3 RBI.
