Scary news just announced by the Pirates organization.
The team says that Jameson Taillon was treated this morning at Allegheny General Hospital for suspected testicular cancer.
Over the weekend, Taillon alerted the medical staff of an abnormality. Following that, Dr. John Lyne decided to perform surgery this morning.

The Pirates released this statement from GM Neal Huntington.
“Jameson has again proven to us what a strong person he is by the way in which he has reacted to this development. We are appreciative of Dr. Lyne and the effects in caring for Jameson. We have told Jameson that our only priority is his health and well-being. His teammates, our coaches, baseball staff and entire organization will support him in his recovery in every possible way and we will keep him in our thoughts and prayers,” said Huntington.
The team says that the recommended treatment plan is pending further testing.
